The S&P 500 added zero-point-seven percent to 2,811.
The Nasdaq also added zero-point-seven percent to 7,643.
South Korean stocks lost ground Wednesday on external uncertainties such as Brexit and the U.S.-China trade talks.
The benchmark KOSPI shed nine points, or zero-point-four percent, to close at 2,148.
The tech-heavy KOSDAQ ended virtually unchanged at around 755.
