The Dow Jones lost about point-3 percent while S&P 500 added that percentage amount to close near 3-thousand 381.
The tech-heavy NASDAQ jumped one-percent to finish at 11,130,... after breaching an earlier intraday record.
Oil prices rebounded a bit as traders remained cautious over the resurgence of COVID-19 around the world.
Brent crude added over one-percent and WTI, too, near 2-percent to close at 42-dollars 81-cents a barrel.
