Tech stocks led Wall Street higher on Monday as Apple and Microsoft boosted the sector with a developers conference and an acquisition, respectively.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 178 points, or zero-point-seven percent, to 24,813.
The S&P 500 gained 12 points, or zero-point-four-five percent, to 2,746.
The Nasdaq added 52 points, or zero-point-seven percent, to 7,606.
Here in Korea.
The benchmark KOSPI ended higher Monday as a strong U.S. jobs report and the planned North Korea-U.S. summit boosted investor sentiment.
The KOSPI added almost nine points, or around a third-of-a-percent, to finish at 2,447.
The secondary KOSDAQ didn't fare as well.
It shed six points, or two-thirds of a percent, to 877.
