Knee Exercises

This little video is just one of a series of videos illustrating exercises without equipment to do at home such as knee strengthening exercises and their benefits.

Lack of fitness, diseases and injuries can set us back; even make us prefer to back off trying because we don't know how to feel better. Strengthening your health and wellbeing is always achievable, whatever your age is or your level of ability!

A healthy body requires muscles, ligaments, joints and nerves working together in harmony. This balance can be quickly upset by disease, injury or more generally a lack of normal fitness.

By applying knee exercises at home, like knee strengthening exercises, you can learn how to treat these conditions by correcting and improving your body's ability to heal itself through strategies including:

Mobilization and Manipulation of Joints
Guidance on posture
Structured exercises
Persistence
And most importantly - a "can do" attitude

Working out home exercises without equipment only demands common sense and your ability to listen to your body. By following these simple guidelines, you will help your body to heal itself without causing any further injury.

Listen to your body
Be patient
Believe in yourself

That is all it takes to implement the following three stages to achieve great outcomes with your knee exercises:

1) Mobility (Essential)
Use exercises at this level to gradually encourage and improve movement of the joint (s).

2) Flexibility (Intermediate)
These exercises will require you to hold a stretch for a specific amount of minutes while slowly increasing the time.

3) Strength and Stability (Advanced)
Back muscle and ab exercises without equipment will strengthen your core to shield your internal organs and sustain a healthy posture.

Home exercises without equipment only need:

Small hand weights 250g to 500g (2x 440g cans will do!)
Elastic exercise bands such as Cliniband or Theraband (available from a Sports shop or a Physiotherapist)
A rolled bath towel
A broomstick or walking stick

Knee exercises without equipment at home are a hands-on method to developing your body's capacity to heal itself.

Do you want to enjoy the rewards of knee exercises minus the expense and unneeded additional exertion offered by traditional equipment?
