Not like a fish
That just diverts
Side by side
As it swims ahead
Neither as a steep ladder
With a minuscle rest
After climbing several steps
Or a journey by train
With refreshments
At every station
But driven by ambition
AN arrow from Arjun's bow
Blind to every thing around
A horse without the liberty
Of looking side to side
Lest it looses its way
A jet, headed straight ahead
To its destination
Brushing aside all distraction
With great force and energy
It hits the target
And a goal achieved
The action that has a reaction
With pieces scattered everywhere
But later, an emptiness, a lull
And gathering of the pieces
Of the reaction
Of failures, of success
And dreaming, or regreting
Missing the distractions
That would have been
On the way....
