An injured soul
Exhausted heart
Tired legs
Back aching with a heavy
Baggage of frustration
Painful, bleeding fists
Due to banging in vain
At the door of goodness
Embraces the unethical,
The illictf as it is available
A passion gone astray
An arrow of temptation
Directed straight at the weakness
The toxin of which
Spreads and gives an illusion
Of heaven in hell
As if being caught in
A whirlpool or a whirlwind
That requires tremendous
Strength of will
To break free
Inspite of a mind weakened
With giddiness and rotation
And raise the hands up
To be lifted high
Towards the ethical
Or lest be drowned deep
In the dungeon of addiction.
