As the spring commences,
Bidding adieu to the winter,
The air is full of ardour.
And, as I stroll through,
The boulevard,
The nature's party begins.

The music is,
The enchantanting notes of the cuckoo.
As the atmosphere they fill,
The other avians,
Give chorous with zeal.

And as I stroll along,
The flowers are around,
With colours and fragrances,
Making my imagination run wild.


The accasia to me appear,
Like, champagne,
Overflowing from a bottle.

The bottle-brush,
Like a gentleman, bowed,
Asking a lady for a dance.

The flame trees,
With their intense orange,
Are damsels,
Asserting their passion.

The champa, the chameli and the jasmine,
Are beauties pristene,
Dressed in elite white,
And are an olfactory delight.

The bogenvelia,
With arrey of colours,
Pink, yellow, red and white,
Are people dancing away without inhibitions.

For me this is an annual event,
For which, throughout the year
I eagerly wait.
