Dogs are numorous.
Pets, sniffers and trained,
And the stray.

Pets are subjects,
Err....no, objects of affection,
A commodity,
A possession to flaunt,
Arrested in a circle of love.
A beauty without brains,
Talent and capabilities,
Are laid to rest.

Sniffers and the trained,
I feel, are blessed.
Training and qualities are foremost,
And the essentiels to survive
Easily follow.

Pitiable are the stray.
No master, no chains,
And no one that cares.
A life so frugal,
And wasted in putting to halt,
The pangs of hunger.

Am I talking about,
The canines or humans?
No wonder, they share
A comfort zone.
The exceptions and the differences abound,
But the rules do match.
There, the Master holds the chains.
Here, the Lady luck,
Holds the reins
