My granny had a backyard
And it had some lime shrubs
For all my naive years
I carried the aroma
Of the lime orchard
And used it as a bookmark

When i grew up
They thought,
I was scholarly
And gave me
An olive crown
So I proudly
Used the olive crown
As my bookmark

Some time back
You saw through and through
My heart,
And gave me a rose.
Since then,
I am unknowingly
Using the rose as a bookmark
For when I open the book
The rose whispers,
In my ears,
That no one has seen
My heart,
As clearly as you have.
