LIGANDS AND ITS CLASSIFICATION PART-I || CLASS-12

In this video I discussed about ligands and its classification. Primary focus of this discussion is to explain definition of ligand and central atom/ion in coordination compounds to the students. In this lecture I tried to give a basic idea about the ligands and its role in formation of coordination compounds which will be helpful for the students of class 12, NEET, JEE. I explained the terms like donor atom, donor site, coordination number, primary valency, coordination sphere, counter ions, coordination entity, complex ions and denticity in this discussion. I sketched geometries of some complex compounds so that students can understand the topic easily. I hope this video will create deep interest among the students about ligands and coordination compounds. This video will definitely inculcate some basic concept about ligands in the minds of students who love chemistry.
