HOW TO CALCULATE OXIDATION NUMBER PART - II || CLASS 11

In this video, I have discussed about different rules which are used to calculate oxidation numbers of different elements present in various oxidants and reductants. These rules are very important for the topic redox reaction in class 11. In my previous video lecture, I tried to give a basic idea about definition of oxidation state and oxidation number. We have to follow certain rules to calculate oxidation number of an element present in a compound. There are eleven important rules to determine oxidation number of an element present in a compound. All of these rules have been explained in this video lecture with specific examples so that students can understand the topic easily. They will be able to calculate oxidation numbers of different elements after understanding these rules. I hope this discussion will help the students to improve their concepts about the method of calculating oxidation number and they will get confidence about the topic. This video will be also be helpful for the students who are preparing for competitive examinations like IIT, JEE, NEET etc.
