COLLOIDAL SOLUTION AND ITS TYPES

“Colloidal solution and Its Types” is the main focus of this video. I delivered a lecture about colloidal dispersion in such a way so that students of class 9 (ICSE & CBSE) can understand the topic easily. To explain what is colloidal solution I have discussed about the definitions of dispersion system, dispersion medium and dispersed phase at the beginning of my lecture. Colloidal solution is composed of two parts: dispersion medium and dispersed phase. I have given an example of colloidal solution and stated clearly about its dispersion medium and dispersed phase. Students are informed about the size of the colloidal particles and properties of colloidal solution through this video. I discussed about classification of colloids on the basis of physical states of the dispersed phase and the dispersion medium with examples. Each type of colloid has been explained separately. Many important terms like aerosol, gel, emulsion, foam etc. are mentioned in the lecture. In last section of this video I have explained classification of colloids on the basis of affinity of the dispersed phase towards the dispersion medium. Two important terms Lyophilic and Lyophobic colloid are focused in last few minutes (with examples) of this video lecture. I hope students will watch this video lecture with immense interest and it will accelerate their zeal to propagate their knowledge about colloid chemistry.
