We wear a mask that grins and lies,
To hide our cheeks and shade our eyes,
It shelters us from mirrors of truth,
Disguising natures immortal view.

We wear a mask in this realm of sleep,
Were tortured souls concealed for keep,
We forget what lies behind the clay,
Believing the make'up on which it lays.

We deceive the world with our tears and cries,
Spreading poison in the air like fire in the sky,
In truth we are screaming for someone to set us free,
Free from the tangled web we weave.
