BSE closes 71.54 points down on May 23

New Delhi, May 23 (ANI): Trading at the Bombay Stock Exchange today closed 71.54 points down to stand at 25,217.15. At the National Stock Exchange the Nifty closed 18.65 points down to stand at 7,731.05. Manappuram Finance Ltd and TTK Prestige Ltd were among the top gainers of group A with an increase of 8.40%and 5.78% along with Sadbhav Engineering Ltd and ITC Ltd with an increase of 5.65% and 5.53% respectively, while the top losers of group A includes Cox and Kings Limited and Welspun Corp Limited with a decrease of 13.81% and 12.03% along with GVK Power and Infrastructure Ltd and Monsanto India Ltd with a decrease of 9.95% and 9.35% at the close of the markets. The Auto sector is down 121.40 points at 17948.80 while the Banking sector is down 110.34 points at 18629.49 and the Realty sector is down 9.72 points at 1357.37. The Indian currency is 0.06% down with Rs. 67.40 per dollar.
