Description
Krabi Krabong is the traditional weapon-based martial art of Thailand, historically used in conjunction with Muay Boran during times of warfare. Developed for battlefield effectiveness, Krabi Krabong emphasizes speed, precision, and fluid movement with a variety of weapons, including the krabi (curved sword), krabong (staff), spears, shields, and dual-wielding techniques.
Rooted in Thailand’s military history, Krabi Krabong was an essential part of a warrior's training, complementing the unarmed strikes of Muay Boran with versatile armed techniques. It was practiced by soldiers and royal bodyguards alike, making it a core element of Thailand’s ancient combat systems.
