When people ask me about the ideal height for a workbench, I have to give them the somewhat vague answer ”It all depends.” I then go on to explain that the height of a bench should be based on both your individual body height, and the specific type of work you plan to do while standing there. In this video I’ll share a couple of simple formulas for figuring out exactly what that number should be (the distance between the floor the top of your bench), but first let’s consider why workbench height is something you should even care about.
