Will robots replace humans and take our jobs? This question has sparked numerous debates among top economists and policy makers.
Automation has become more popular in our economy. There are many debate over whether robots will take over and replace human jobs leading to a higher rate of technological unemployment. However, we often confuse general purpose artificial intelligence (AI that do everything a human can) with robotics. Robotics is not the same as general purpose AI. Robots are no different from any other machine. They destroy no more jobs than your washing machines and music players. We are not creating machines that can do everything, just simply make our lives easier.
