Vore Complex - None

I wanted to keep it stark, harrowing & realistic and thus relied less on 'special effects' and gentle fades & cross-fades; retaining a dislocated choppiness. I also chose a muted, grimy colour palette. It's a song about atrocity, denial, dispassion, rampant Nihilism; and ultimately despair - albeit with a resigned sting. I was thinking of films such as Men Behind The Sun and Salo when composing, only without the gratuitous, shock element. Perhaps this piece was merely motivated by depressive sadness.

Footage documenting the senseless pain of war and the capacity of humans for cruel torture, taken from accounts of Ukraine, Kosovo and Sarajevo, as well as numerous pools of hunting leeches and vomiting bloodworms, seemed to be gloomily fitting accompanying media. Beyond the charnel-pits and grave dirt, I was searching for a tortured ouroboros analogy, to help me depict a shattered, autophagic cosmos. Endzeit Electronics, in a nutshell.
