Description

Hello everyone and welcome to my little corner of Dailymotion. Did you ever wonder what happens after we passed onto the great beyond or knowing that your time is near and you thought is there something I could do for others to show how grateful you are not only for them but I don't know, how grateful they should be for each other. Not to take life for granted. Well in this film called Three Husbands from 1951 (a male version of the 1949 film, A Letter to Three Wives. Both of which Vera Caspary known for the film Laura, had a hand in writing) we have Maxwell Bard. A wealthy playboy who sadly has heart disease and is not doing too well. One day he meets his maker and I'm not talking his tailor. This guy measures wings not pants. Anywho, it seems when one gets to heaven they are allowed one wish. Now for Max this is an easy one. For you see Max before passing on to the great beyond had a made many plans. He decided to make a will, get his affairs in order and to write a letter to his three best friends. Letters you say, yes I say. In these letters Max said he had an affair with each of their wives. Wow, what a friend. But hold on, there's more to the story. Just what the rest of the story is, well your just going to have to watch. Staring in this tale of, I should have open the mail first we have....Emlyn Williams as Maxwell Bard, Our Miss Brooks herself Eve Arden as Lucille McCabe, Howard Da Silva as Dan McCabe, Ruth Warrick as Jane Evans, Shepperd Strudwick as Arthur Evans, Vanessa Brown as Mary Whittake, Robert Karnes as Kenneth Whittaker, the good witch herself Billie Burke as Mrs. Jenny Bard Whittaker, Louise Erickson as Matilda Clegg, Jonathan Hale as Edward Wurdeman and Jane Darwell as Mrs. Wurdeman. So lets make some Cloud Nine drinks, maybe some Angel food cake and enjoy. Also thanks so much for watching.
