This Certification took Penetration Testing Skills to the Next Level

In this video, Harith Dilshan shares his experience with EC-Council’s Certified Penetration Testing Professional (C|PENT) certification, including challenges and tips for the certification exam. He explains how the multi-level network infrastructure of the C|PENT practice environment helped him gain hands-on experience in penetration testing.

Harith also says that he enjoyed the C|PENT program because of the knowledge and skills he gained in several new areas, including supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) networks, double pivoting, binary exploitation, firewall mapping, intrusion detection and prevention system attack surfaces, and filter bypassing. The C|PENT course covers a wide range of penetration testing topics: active directory penetration testing, the Internet of Things (IoT), operational technology (OT), and more.

Harith is a senior cybersecurity engineer at Dialog Axiata PLC and graduated from the Sri Lanka Institute of Information Technology with a bachelor’s degree in cybersecurity. In his current position, he penetration tests mobile applications, web applications, and internal and external networks. In addition to the C|PENT, Harith has earned multiple other EC-Council certifications, including the Certified Ethical Hacker (C|EH), C|EH (Master), and Licensed Penetration Tester (Master). In 2020, he was ranked eighth on the C|EH Global Ethical Hacking Leaderboard.
