Tara McH - Misjudgment
5 Views • Nov 08, 2014
Description
lies in recognition of ones own msjudgment.
A memory rekindled, less real than it seemed,
a reality experienced, less vivid than in dreams,
a man deemed honest lies,
a 'healthy' woman dies,
the knight in shining armour
turns the wimp in real life,
a face suggesting ardour
is a blank behind the eyes...
Perhaps a greatest source of our misjudgment
is the tendency to build conclusions on a fragment
of what we dream to be reality,
or so it often seems to be to me;
for one distilled generalisation
from one instant or event
does not make for a balanced equation
of the nature or intent,
or the honesty or integrity
of the whole. Personality
is built on endless such events;
(and events, it seems, on numerous intents) .
And so. I got it wrong, too true.
Do not apologise; it is not down to you.
For, frankly, heavy disappointment in myself
outweights the unexpectated pain of seeing the truth.
