when sacrifice is all that's left
the worst comes and engulfs the best
you try to let go, but its doesn't leave
then sacrifice is the only thing left to believe

to step back just to make them smile
to move out so they can be happy for a while
to sacrifice your love for the sake of another
to hand your heart out, to never bother

even bees die to save their queen
even the clouds cry to make earth clean
when sacrifice is all that's left
the worst comes and engulfs the best

i let you go, i knew i should
so, try to be happy, if only i could
please make my sacrifice worthwhile
cos all i want to see is your smile
