Find the best financial services for you at: SMARTFINANCESOLUTIONS.NET - Can she get alimony from me? - My wife and i have been married for a little over 2 years now, and i'm thinking of divorce. i won't go into the details why i'm contemplating it... just say this. she has never been able to hold onto a job, not because she has some medical condition, or disability... but just pure laziness. this, in turn, has put me on the verge of bankruptcy. that being said, i'm wondering if being vindictive as she is, when she attempts to get alimony granted, will the fact that she hasn't worked work against me, even though i NEVER agreed to be the only breadwinner in the household? we got married in NJ, currently live in FL, but will be moving to DC very soon (military).

any answers will be greatly appreciated... i just dont want this women having her claws dug into me for years to come, if we do end up in divorce -
