Shelby Hopple - Brave

Cold the day was,
A women and babe stood alone.
For the center of humiliation,
The towns people watched.
The women with a secret so deep,
Not even the devil himself could reach.
The father of the child,
A mystery to all.
With people having thoughts,
Toward the sinner at fault.
Everyone swarming gathering in a pack,
Just like bees protecting there back.
The women then lifted her head,
High towards the sky.
Brave as an eagle darting in the sky.
A women strong and true,
Is what I saw that day.
Then as she descended those stairs,
With a grin on her face.
She walked past that crowd,
And want on with her day.


About a women who had a baby and not married being humiliated in front of the whole town. But she stood there with her head held high.
