Sheila Knowles - moving house or home

Someone placed a mountain
to the left of my new house
the clouds have swallowed the sky
over the garden to my right
waves are chasing the surfers up the horizon
and I am standing in my garden
speechless
wordless
knowing I should find a way
to squash this all into pictures
but all I can do for now
is hang out the washing
and try to hang on to myself
