Sandra Dodd - I Just Mess With Words

I’m not a poet
I just mess with words
I like to get them to be punny or outrageously absurd
Often they are simple, plain superlative
If I’m very lucky they show up introspect and
turned upside down they're inadvertent pearls
Sometimes when I feel the draw I jaw of God and man
Generally the words I like make you
feel like seeking out your man!

I am not a poet
I just mess with words
Someday I may get read
by a man or girl
“words she used to play a game,
and she played it purdy good”
