Ingredients for making Samosa Bites :
Step 1 : Dough
- All Purpose flour (maida) (2 Cups) (https://amzn.to/2mmIhEA)
- Salt to taste
- Sugar (1 Tbsp)
- Ajwain or Caraway Seeds (1/2 Tsp) (https://amzn.to/2PM36ti)
- Oil (4 Tbsp)
- Cold water (as required to knead a tight dough)
Step 2 : Filling
- Oil (2 Tbsp)
- Cumin Seeds (1 Tsp)
- Green Chillies (2 Tsp)
- Ginger Garlic Paste (2 Tbsp)
- Frozen/ Parboiled Green Peas (1/2 Cup)

- Garam Masala (1 Tsp) (https://amzn.to/2Pl2fQa)
- Amchur (dry mango ) powder (1 Tsp) (https://amzn.to/2mlZQod)

- Turmeric Powder (1/4 Tsp) (https://amzn.to/2OKz1L4)
- Salt to taste
- Boiled & Mashed Potato (2 Cups)
Step 3 : Assembling
- Oil for deep frying
- Ice Cube tray (https://amzn.to/2OpvoFq)
- Extra flour for dusting
- Pizza cutter or knife to cut in squares (https://amzn.to/2On3c65)
- Procedure for making Samosa Bites :
- For the dough, mix all purpose flour, salt sugar and ajwain.
- Mix and crumble it with your hands
- Add cold water and knead a tight dough.
- Rest the dough with wet cloth for 30 min
- Now make the filling ..
- In a pan, heat some oil
- Put some cumin seeds, green chillies and ginger garlic paste
- Cook until raw flavor of ginger garlic disappears
- Put green peas in it. ( Par boil it or if you using frozen, thaw by adding warm water in it)
- Put all the masala ( cumin powder, coriander powder, garam masala, amchur powder, turmeric powder, red chilli powder ) and salt to taste
Cook for 2 - 3 min
- Put boiled and mashed potatoes in the pan
- Mix and cook it for 4 - 5 min
- Let it cool slightly
- Now that dough is rested for 30 min
- Take a large dough ball and roll it thicker so that it won't break when you press the dough down in the ice cube tray
- Put the rolled dough on the ice cube tray.
- Create cavities by pressing down with your finger
- Put 1 tbsp somosa filling,
- Put another rolled dough (This time roll it thinner as it goes on the base)
- Press it with your hands or using a rolling pin
- Turn it upside down and look how beautiful those samosa bites look
- Cut the excess dough and cut through the lines as well to separate each samosa bite.
- Seal it properly.
- Now lets fry them.
- Deep fry in medium hot oil until they are golden brown.
Bake :
- Pre heat the oven at 180C for 15 min and then bake samosa bites for 30 - 35 min.
- Serve it hot with imli chutney, green chutney, curd, sev.. Choices are infinite.
