Raymond J Wright - One More
2 Views • Jun 14, 2014
Description
I shed them without shame
I said goodbye
To your body in a box
I cried.
I cry.
Memories crowd me
Fill the spaces of each day
With laughter and tears,
With regret
I often wonder, John
If you knew
How much you were loved
I often wonder
If you know
How much you are missed
If you ever knew
Just how much I needed you
If I had only told you one more time,
Held you one more time
One more glass of wine
One more margarita
One more breakfast at the diner
One more something,
One more anything
I miss you.
(For my dear friend John Converse, who was killed on February 1st 2007)
