the moment that you touched me
was the moment i was born
a soul was launched
into the open
without care
into the storm
without ways
and without means
with only will to carry on
a speck of hope across the sky
lost inside the storm
the moment set the soul a-flight
but could not follow on
the soul is lost
and so afraid
with nothing to hold on
bring the soul back to the moment
and take it to your heart
hold it close and care for it
and never let it go
