Planeta Bur 1961

Welcome everyone and thanks stopping by. Today's feature is called Planeta Bur aka Planet of Storms from 1962. In this film we have three small Soviet spaceships from their Lunar Station 7, each called Sirius, Vega and last but not least Capella. They have been commissioned to land on Venus and explore the planet. Sadly the spaceship Capella is hit by a large meteor, the crew and ship are eradicated. When this is learned, the Soviet Union decides to send another ship called the Arcturus but it will take around 2 months for it's arrival. So the 2 remaining ships decide to go on with their mission instead of waiting. Everyone lands on the planet, including their robot John except Masha. She stay behinds on the ship to keep communications open. The Sirius and Vega smaller ships land in different places. The environment on Venus is more hostile than they realize. Not only is the air poisonous but it's like they went back to the Mesozoic era, even Jurassic. Yet at the same time they find evidence of other lifeforms. Will they survive? Will they make it back to their ship? Will Masha wait for them or take off looking for them? Was that a Pterosaur I saw? This and more will be answered, you'll just have to watch to find out. Staring in this tale we have...Vladimir Yemelyanov as Ilya Vasilyevich Vershinin, Georgiy Zhzhonov as Roman Bobrov, Gennadi Vernov as Alyosha, Yuri Sarantsev as Ivan Shcherba, Georgi Teich as Allan Kern, Kyunna Ignatova as Masha Ivanova and Boris Prudkovsky as Robot John.
