Nigel Koester - Intervention

Description
I am forced to sit here,
Face full of tears.
Listening to something,
I don’t want to hear.
So what if I do it?
Who are you to exclude it?
It’s my body and my mind,
Who are you to accuse it?
I don’t want to listen,
And hear about addiction.
I want you to go away,
So I can re-cloud my vision.
So what if I miss work,
Sit at home in the dark.
This is what I do now,
So don’t even start.
This stuff helps me function,
Be happy with nothing.
Make this screwed up life,
One of less destruction.
But I need it now more than ever,
Everyday, In any weather.
It’s changed my whole life,
And not all for the better.
My love went up in smoke,
Much like the drugs that come and go.
Now I’m left here all alone,
Nothing but drugs to fill this empty soul…
