My ring-necked Pheasant Pen
39 Views • Sep 23, 2016
Description
I started out with 15 pheasants but I learned some hard lessons about raising these birds. You cannot put them in a cage where chickens have been! They will die from chicken sicknesses. Also, they need A LOT MORE ROOM than chickens do. If they don't have enough room they will kill and eat each other!
Now that they're in their flight pen, I have had only one problem. The cocks fight! I had two cocks but they got to fighting and with no pen for the second cock I had to eat Woody's brother Dick. Woody had nearly killed him. He was scalped, pecked all over, had a broken leg, busted ribs and severe bruising. Dick was tasty.
