HELLBOY's Pet Chicken

This are HELLBOY the ram's pet chickens. They ride around on his back and pick out any pests which might be in there. Sometimes there is feed spillage and the chickens will pick that out too.

Having a pet chicken benefits HELLBOY in that many sheep have a problem with parasites like flies laying eggs in their wool. HELLBOY's wool will be parasite free and I hope to make a sweater from it next spring when he is shorn.

The chickens are Red Ranger chickens which are known for their excellent ability to free range for their own food. I do not feed these chickens... At all! They are very easy to care for and look after themselves very well. Also, the roosters do not crow as much as other breeds and when they do their voices are deeper and do not travel as far across the land.
