Michigan Small Town Drive

With rates of violent crime, drug use, rape and theft faaaar above the national average, this little series of Michigan towns (or more accurately, wide spots in the road) has been reduced to a white trash slum full of rampant corruption, criminal elements, violent rivalries, vengeful locals, and extreme fundamentalist churches full of paranoia and fire-and-brimstone preaching - a place where it is best to keep one's head down and never upset the wrong person, and a prime example of just how degenerate most of Michigan has become in the wake of the state's overwhelming economic crash. We are a young couple who stumbled into this little pocket of Hell and are now essentially trapped, hoping someday we will be able to get the heck out of dodge. In the meantime, take a drive with us through the rain as we whip out the sarcastic humor to ease the sting of living in a town full of picturesque, quaint beauty that stands in stark contrast to the depression that grips its inhabitants.
