Mark Trajano - Past

I have always wondered why I live the life I am living
And searched for answers far and wide.
Looking high and low, in and out, I still keep on wandering
What has made The Soul- AM, decide.
I have always wondered why this is the path given to me
For most of the time I regret
Not being able to do what people my age do freely,
And keep looking back to the set.
Although life has been kind and sincere, I am blessed in such ways-
I have what I need to survive,
I am able to go deeper and explore this wond'rful place,
In there, imagination strive.

Despite knowing the answer, I am always in denial.
That way it was always easy
For me to remain in the illusion'f a familiar aisle,
Walking mindlessly and loosely
To nowhere until the thread of light is made known by my Soul.
And that shall be when I rise high,
Reborn in the light of God, and in Goddess's love, whole;
For a new me I tend to cry.

I look into the heavens, be grateful that have been given these-
A mind to break through this lie,
A heart that is capable of loving and embracing bliss,
And a Soul that tr'ly wonders why.
Sometimes I look back and try to see what could have been of me
If I have lived differently,
If I would end up being a better person or just be?
Now I understand why I'm me.
