Mark Trajano - A Tale

She is a mystery to solve
That left me hanging by her door
And singing songs until four,
Which I think made her heart dissolve.
I greet her with smiles and roses,
I walk her to a nearby park.
Caring for her ‘til day closes,
Guiding her smooth steps in the dark.
Then her heart still remains shrouded,
We stare at each other and laugh.
Calming myself, feeling so edged
Falling from a step and a half.

She is a mystery to figure
That left me awake until four
Thinking too much, that I am sure
And I found myself at her door.
Singing her songs ‘f adoration,
Words that makes her float in the sky
Came rushing like some solution
To questions that I would deny.
Ten days have passed with a shadow
That seemed awf'lly too familiar
Leaving me restless, don't know how
To pray for warmth to our bright star.
I walk down the road, see her smile
In the arms of another man
As I continue this long mile
Knowing I have loved, never ran.
