Description

There's no excuse for how, lately,
I've neglected the garden; but
it takes care of itself fairly well

While I've been gone, tiny new sprigs of fern
have planted themselves assertively
in spots of their own choosing

Purple periwinkle blooming says he
thinks he'll visit awhile; irises, and
especially the aloe have multiplied

Pathos leaves, still climbing
Callistemon tree, have grown
tremendously as has the agave.

Clearly, I am merely
the humble audience.

Even the tiny red roses
seem motivated.
