Hope is a raindrop,
a theorem,
creative thought

a shoot, a sapling
root, a bud;
heart beating

a pinecone, painted
brushstroke; hope
can be a twinkle

in the eye,
sparkle, longing,
a wink

vision,
a flirt,
a flutter

cherished memory
of another;
hope can be.
