Jose Armando Guzman - The Flood
3 Views • Oct 29, 2014
Description
Memories are flowing through my
veins and tasting tears with
every heartbeat.
It was that tiny apartment,
the first one we ever shared.
Our small world between those
four walls.
There were hopes and dreams
forged in that small space that
can not be held in this vast
ocean of silence.
I recall the early mornings
waking up and your profile being the
first rays of light shining
in my eyes.
It is a grand disillusion that
I have in my hands now.
There is only empty space
in that crevice of my life that
your essence once filled.
The long road that once lead
to you has now been washed
away by the monsoon rain.
That small apartment is now
flooded and the blue walls
have faded.
The hopes and dreams
have now drowned and
been washed away
with the flood.
