Jakarta Hit by Severe Flooding

Jakarta was hit by severe flooding following heavy rain from January 12, with more than 5,000 people having fled their homes as of January 13. The evacuees were moved to 35 shelters across the city as floods reached four metres in areas of the Indonesian capital.
