Severe Flooding in Minnesota

Minnesota experienced widespread flooding on June 24. This aerial footage shows the effects of the floods on Waterville, MN, which lies between the Tetonka and Sakatah lakes.

Heavy rainfall has caused rivers in the state, including the Mississippi, to rise to record high marks. The Minnesota department of public safety issued an additional 30 day state of emergency, detailed <a class="link" rel="nofollow" target="_blank" href="http://mn.gov/governor/newsroom/pressreleasedetail.jsp?id=102-133614" target="_blank">here</a>, in response to the flooding.
