Gouda Moon - Homeless George
9 Views • Oct 29, 2014
Description
Sedate myself with a brick wall
Come-to curled-up in a ball
Damp regret forsake it all
And shake off thoughts of home
Dirt stuck to my sticky face
I don't recognize this place
Far too low to fall from grace
Memories trying to erase
Aching thoughts of home
I can't survive, this is not living anymore
I can't survive, this is not living
I can't survive, this is not a life
I can't die, I drink to stay alive
I washed my hands yesterday
I think it was then anyway
Rubbing at the dirty day
Cold sun rising far away
Cannot think of home
Weather I don't feel
Wounds that will not heal
To lice and fleas another meal
Jesus will not take the wheel
To find my way back home
Every moment grimmer
Crooked fingers thinner
Pick through trash for dinner
Hate the truth that's in the mirror
And I have no home
Lost and broken soon forgot
Face in hands in dirt I squat
Aching stomach in a knot
I want to crumble here and rot
This spot is my home
