A fire in the Dominican Republic’s Quisqueya Stadium led to the suspension of a baseball match between the Tigres del Licey and the Leones del Escogido on Wednesday evening, December 27.

The fire, which sparked around 6:30 pm and warranted an evacuation of the stadium, was caused by the short circuiting of an air conditioning unit in the stadium’s press area2ww, according to reports from El Nuevo Dia</a>.
