Dental Implants 2.0

John Doe (name changed), a 28 year old young adult visited us about 10 months ago with multiple missing permanent teeth and was conscious about his smile.

He had many missing permanent teeth, 2 in the upper jaw and 11 missing teeth in the lower jaw. He had the retained milk teeth which would not sustain for long. He had no medical syndrome/ condition.

On radiographic examination, it was confirmed that he had no embedded permanent teeth in the jaws. He was undergoing orthodontic correction in a reputed hospital for some the permanent teeth from the past 3 years and was not satisfied with the results.

He wanted us to give a permanent solution for his ongoing problem. He wanted a confident smile and not make compromises in the foods that he would want to eat.

Basically he wanted his SMILE to reflect who HE was.

We offered to give him the solution he was looking for through Cosmetic dentistry and Implant dentistry.

Smile designing and trials were done followed by ceramic crowns in the upper jaw along with correction of the vertical dimension of the lower 1/3 of the face. The milk teeth in the lower jaw were extracted and 6 dental implants along with bone grafts were placed. 2 implants were placed in the upper jaw.

The upper implants were loaded after 4 months while the lower were loaded after 9 months. 2 lower implants did not integrate due to poor bone quality. A fixed customized hybrid denture was delivered over the implants and along with 2 crowns the entire rehab was completed.

John was totally ecstatic with the results and now cannot stop smiling with his new smile. He does not make compromises in the foods that he wants to eat and is confident to face the world. He basically feels liberated. John recently moved to Toronto, Canada to pursue his Masters.
