Crystal Johnson - Alone

Description
I let you down, I know that.
But I never promised you that I'd be perfect.
I never guaranteed you that life with me would be easy.
No, I haven't always made the right decisions,
But I'm working on that.
You haven't really handed me a road map towards happiness either.
People are always telling me that my life is way off track.
But I'm starting to wonder if it was even on track to begin with.
Maybe I have taken a few wrong turns,
And maybe I have led myself astray.
But where were you when I was looking for the way home?
Where were you when I couldn't figure out where I was supposed to go?
Where were you when I needed a hand to lead me where I needed to be?
I guess we both let eachother down in our own way.
But you and I both know damn well that we need eachother.
I'm not ready to face this world on my own yet,
And I know that you can't do it either.
We weren't meant to go through this alone.
You know that just as well as I do.
So please, don't give up on me yet.
I can't count how many times I've told myself that I didn't need you.
But the truth is...
I need you more than you will ever know.
I'm tired of pretending to be strong.
I'm tired of hurting inside and trying to fill the hole in my heart with something that could never replace you.
I can't do it anymore.
It's starting to hurt way too much,
And I'm through with hurting.
I'm through with being alone.
