I pray each night before I sleep
I hope it does some good
I cry and plead to bring you back
But God wont listen like he should

I pray that you'll come back to me
And heal my broken heart
I pray that you'll find happiness
Even though were worlds apart

I ask that you will comfort me
In all my time of need
I ask that you will give me strength
To do all I can to succeed

I cant do it without you
I need you by my side
And even though you've passed away
In my heart you'll be alive

My guardian angel I call you
'Cause I know you keep me safe
I just wish I could feel your touch
Or even see your face

I need you here to love me
So I can love you back
but most of all, dear God I pray
I need you here to be my dad
