The darkness engulfs my train of thought
And it makes me smile
I smile to know that for one second
For one small second
I will not have to think about you
You will not haunt my mind
For that moment of peace

And I sigh
I sigh to know that it will soon be over
The sleep will soon be gone
And again your thought and memories will come
The memories of what we had
The thought of what could be
And the knowledge that it’s equivalent to a dream
