What will you watch me build
out of these Lincoln-log matchsticks before you
set one alight
and watch the chain reaction create
an unstructure of its own?

Some people might put the burned-out matches
back in the box—
you aren’t those people,
are you?
It’s just that
you could never
even
match my lack of wits and
that
makes us… “ .”

Because of it
and that ever present static on the far end
he has to pay a little extra (more than worth it) so he doesn’t have to spend
each
waking
moment
not judging everything.

so in the end…probably a waste—
but at least the emotional stagnancy
didn’t last

(sigh) of relief

Better find a suitable replacement now—the

is trying to make better mistakes than
this—he is looking for

this white-knuckle,
all-encompassing frustrationwhen he realizes
