As it turns out, your love songs made me cry.

It’s hard to look at your face—
Can’t look away, though because
You
And I
Live in a constant state of leaving.
This smile belies the weight I feel

Nothing
But a (happily) drunken message from Ohio
Could have made this harder
For a smiling novice like me

But come to terms with it; rationality prevails—
It’s better this way
It’s better this way
She’ll undoubtedly be happier
I’ll undoubtedly be happier.
Best friends too,
And friends till the end
