Aparna Sinha - Stranger No More...

People - so strange
I cannot read their heart
I stand there glaring at their smile
And I am lost


Smile- is deceptive
It is out of love, happiness, pain
And with twinkle in eye
I wondered


All eyes- staring
Cold, confused, astonished (I am not one of them)
So distant are the emotions
And I am alone


Emotions- are undulant
I try to reach things that are beyond
Our common discern
I sensed power


Discern- I descried
In every face so strange
Ephemeral smile, delusive eyes
A heart beats, with feeling so same


And as I saw deep
In hard rain, under the shade of same tree
I felt her agony first time
There was water in her eyes too
Just like me.
